Director of Emergency Shelter Operations

The YWCA Oklahoma City is currently seeking a full-time Director of Operations for the Emergency Shelter. The emergency shelter is a 24/7 operation and serves as a short term, trauma informed place of residence for individuals fleeing dangerous domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. We are seeking dynamic leadership and a professional who is organized, thinks independently and critically, uses appropriate judgement, and ensures quality work. This position will require alternating on call time for a period of one week at various intervals per month. Additionally, the position is responsible for hiring, training and supervision of staff, bi-monthly volunteer training presentations, development of volunteers for hotlines and other shelter roles, and oversight of day to day shelter operations. An understanding of domestic violence, empowerment advocacy, trauma-informed environments and self-determination models will be helpful. Prior successful supervisory experience is strongly considered.

The position is salaried and will require occasional flexibility to meet the needs of our clients and the agency. A Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Service, Human Relations, or Human Resources field required, one year relevant domestic violence experience strongly preferred. Bilingual preferred. Executive Assistant to CEO

The YWCA Oklahoma City is currently seeking an Executive Assistant to CEO. We are seeking a dynamic professional who is energetic, creative, takes initiative, proactively builds relationships and performs as a solid team member. The Executive Assistant to CEO will schedule appointments and maintain the calendar for CEO. Executive Assistant to CEO will provide administrative support to the Board of Directors and maintain all Board of Directors documentation. Executive Assistant to CEO will also attend/assist in preparation of administrative meetings and attend various civic organization meetings as a representative of the CEO and the YWCA Oklahoma City.

Qualifications are a minimum of an AA degree preferred. Experience in an Executive Assistant or Administrative Assistant position preferred. Skills required include: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, advanced written and verbal communication; advanced organization and prioritization; very strong problem solving abilities and multi-tasking skills; ability to be self-motivated and self-directed. Precise attention to detail and deadlines is also required.

Domestic Violence Shelter Advocate

The YWCA Oklahoma City is currently seeking a full time Domestic Violence Shelter Advocate for the Tuesday through Friday 2:00PM to 12:00 midnight shift. We are seeking a dynamic professional who is organized, things independently and critically, uses appropriate judgement, and ensures quality work. Strong listening, verbal and written communication and organizational skills are required. The position is salaried and will require occasional flexibility to meet the needs of our clients and the agency.

A Bachelor's Degree in Social Services, human Relations or Human Resources field strongly preferred, an Associate's Degree in Crime Victim Services or other human services also acceptable. Relevant domestic violence advocacy experience preferred, bilingual preferred. Benefits include health insurance, paid vacation and retirement.

Adult Counselor 

Adult Counselors needed to provide crisis intervention and individual/group counseling for adult victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Training in domestic violence, sexual assault and trauma is provided.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field. Current Oklahoma licensure is preferred, i.e. LPC/LMFT/LCSW/LBP. Under LPC supervision will be considered. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience and training in trauma counseling would be beneficial. Bilingual ability preferred but not required.
